About Lo Man Kam Wing Chun Kung Fu

Combat versatility

Instead of teaching the student a myriad of techniques against attacks or different weapons we apply the principle of “universality”. Our system is designed in such a way that we are able to control/guard 360 degrees of perimeter-sphere without actually having to learn 360 movements. Real life situations do not allow the luxury to discern the nature of an incoming projection. Because of Sifu Lo Man Kam’s involvement in the military and intelligence (SWAT team headcoach in Taiwan and abroad) he has been able to proof through trial and error process the effectiveness of Wing Chun Kung Fu and other tactics.

This process has made Lo Man Kam Wing Chun Kung Fu unique in comparison to most other Wing Chun styles as it was developed through experience in all circumstances. The Taiwanese SWAT Team uses sharp knives to train as Sifu Lo believes that only the training with real knives can be considered ‘realistic’ enough.

Nowadays a wide number of government institutions and the military have recognized and rely on the value of Wing Chun every day to defend and save lives. It is currently being employed in Taiwan, USA, Germany etc. and is being used by the Intelligence, Police, Bodyguards and other institutions. Part of the official Taiwanese police handbook for Wing Chun Tactics for law enforcement is currently being sold worldwide.

The understanding of body mechanics enable the student to maximize power and to absorb evade / yield / deflect / destroy / jam an incoming attack.

Students become skilful and knowledgeable because they have "felt the effectiveness" through partner training. True skill and knowledge comes from practice and research with a partner…not from books and theories alone.

In Lo Man Kam Wing Chun Kung Fu we believe:

"IT CAN ONLY BE CONSIDERED USEFUL
IF IT CAN BE USED UNIVERSALLY."
